Editorial policies.
The standards that apply across all three journals, regardless of subject area.
Authorship
Everyone listed as an author should have made a substantive contribution to the work and agreed to the final submitted version. Changes to the author list after submission need to be explained to the editor.
Conflicts of interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be seen to influence a submission’s review or outcome.
Originality & plagiarism screening
Submissions are expected to be the authors’ own original work and not previously published. Manuscripts are screened for originality as part of the review process.
Corrections & retractions
Errors identified after publication are corrected transparently. Where a published article’s findings are seriously undermined, it may be retracted, with the reason made public.
Appeals
An author who disagrees with a decision can request that the Editor-in-Chief reconsider it, setting out the specific grounds for the appeal.
Independence between journals
Each journal is led by its own Editor-in-Chief and editorial board. Editorial decisions on one journal have no bearing on the others.
